From the second run of the day. Overcast skies meant cold track temps in the morning, which meant for some slidey action.

Here’s my best run of the day, a 52.401 , which earned me 6th place out of 60 drivers in my class! Personal best result for me . The course this month wa s almost completely devoid of straights; Miata heaven.

Here are the full class results:

I beat every other NA and NB Miata in my class , an RX-8, all the BRZs, all the MR2s, and a pair of V8 Mustangs. Not bad for 110whp. Pretty proud of myself!

By the way... who was driving the Golf R out there?

Nice save and Congratulations. I also love that there is a Conquest and a Crown vic running around there

I don’t remember seeing the Conquest out there today. These car-driver IDs are just what the driver originally signed up with at the beginning of the season ; some drivers bring different cars to different events or co-drive with other people. I think he was driving a 1993 BMW 325i.

This was the first time I’d seen the Crown Vic out. I kept seeing it...struggle with the open practice course, haha.

But the diversity of cars across the other classes is pretty neat. Everything from Hellcats to Porsche GT4s, from SVXs to to Model 3s.

Yeah, I would guess the Crown VIc was just out there to screw around and have fun not be competitive, necessarily.

Do you have any experience with the Time Attack driver school they run? Was thinking of maybe checking it out next y ear for a new experience.

I haven’t gone through the driver school, but from what I hear it’s a good value. Lots of seat time for the money.

I know my Crown Vic would struggle at these tracks. They’re heavy bricks, not dainty little ladies with tuned suspensions. That’s why I plan on eventually replacing the engine with a Coyote good for 460HP. Should make it a monster at the track. :D

(And when that happens, it won’t be listed as a “Crown Vic” on the boards , but as “Killer Queen” :P)
